Our office performs detailed calculations of thermal bridges. This time we had the opportunity to make calculations for thermal bridges created by using pre-wall blinds in windows on the ground floor of a newly designed multi-family building in Wrocław.
The building will be fitted with two types of 165mm and 180mm deep windows blinds. We analysed each of the window blinds in two cases: for a window mounted under the balcony and mounted in the external wall without window openings above.
Below we present graphical results of calculations from the thermal calculation program: the first drawing is the location of layers, the second a structure of isotherms, the third one is the density of heat stream.
1. 1 Window blind (depth 180 mm) – layer arrangement
1.2 Window blind (depth 180 mm) – structure of isotherms
1.3 Window blind (depth 180 mm) – the density of the heat stream
2. 1 Window blind (depth 180 mm) with balcony window above – layer arrangement
2.2 Window blind (depth 180 mm) with balcony window above – structure of isotherms
2.3 Window blind (depth 180 mm) with balcony window above – the density of the heat stream
